I read so slow that it takes me forever to get through a book usually, unless it is a book that I am really into. I think maybe it's because I visualize everything in my head like I am watching a movie. I wish that I could read faster or have more time to read. I see people posting every week or couple of days a new book that they are reading. I keep thinking, wow they read fast. So I am just curious, how many books on average to you read in a month?

I start a new book every 2 or 3 days, sometimes I'll read a book in one day. I probably read about 10-12 a month.

I started keeping a log (no annotations, just title/author) in '02 of the books I read in a year. I only read 18, cause I was planning an '03 wedding and didn't have too much spare time. In '04, I read 37.
It's not a race....read at your own pace and enjoy. That's the most important thing!!

hmmm, that's tough for me since part of my job is proofreading books! I'm also a speedreader on top of that - so I'll average anywhere from 10 - 12 books a month. Sometimes more if I pick up a fun children's book - those are always a quick read! I just love reading, I wish I had more time to do it!!

On average about 7-10 Books normally no less than 300 pages.
It's been cut back a LOT as I have school three days a week and dedicate about two more to study and homework.

It depends I read in spurts. Last month I read about 6 books, but this month none so far. Also I don't rent books I buy them. And this month is pretty tight money wise. Not only to we have to leave deposits, but in the next month in a half we have 7 birthdays, 1 bridal shower, 1 baby shower not to mention bills, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to get another book!!!

I just really started getting into reading books. I too try to visualize everything. I'm not in a rush so I am going at my own pace

not nearly enough!
my problem is that after work when I get home, if I open a book I fall asleep within 10 minutes! I just can't keep my eyes open when I start reading - so I have to read during the day, which I don't often have time to do - or when I'm traveling which is pretty often I guess.
So I guess I read between 3 and 5 - not a lot, and I wish it was more!
