I don't wear heels a lot so I was thinking of getting platform flip-flops for the reception. Did anyone else do this or did you just think you would and never ended up changing?

I'm going to try to keep my shoes on as long as possible, but I'm also buying totes ballet slippers just in case.

Re: How many brides changed shoes...
I didn't do it for my wedding b/c I wore low heel sandals that were comfortable. However, for a reception I would highly recommend bringing a pair of flip-flops. Your feet will get so tired by the end of the night. This goes for outdoor weddings esp on the grass. I had an outdoor wedding and held the reception in a tent, my shoes still have grass stains on the bottom.

Ther's no question about me changing my shoes after the ceremony. I plan on being on the dance floor the whole night so I need some COMFY shoes.

Re: How many brides changed shoes...
I changed into these.. nobody even knew, but my feet thanked me for it
I definitly changed shoes after my ceremony! Even though I thought my heels were pretty comfy, after taking all those pics and walking around, I was ready for comfy shoes! It's a great idea... my only warning to future brides is that be careful of having a second shoe with a lower heel than your original shoe (what I had)... my second shoe was slighly lower than my first shoe, and it affected my bustle. My dress was trailing a bit on the floor -- not too badly but still enough to make it easy for people to step on my dress. So just make sure the heel lengths are very close in height. HTH :)
I did get platform flipflops w/Swarovksi crystals - this way it still looked 'nice' ...but I honestly didnt change until the last 15 minutes of the night...it killed me to change shoes b/c I LOVED my day of shoes - but I danced my A$$ off & my feet finally got to a point in my 4 in heels where they said...'help!'...lol...
