Personally I want to be surprised (even though when it comes to gifts I usually hate surprises). I know its being planned, I gave my mom and sis a list of names, and showed them the invitations I really liked. But that's it.

I have somewhat of an idea my FSIL just asked me today when I would like my shower so I guess when it gets closer I might know.
I too told everyone what I like and where to buy my cake. It's like we are cheating

I already told my BP I didn't want it to be a surprise. I have been told the date but can't remember I don't really know much about what will be going on but I know it's not going to be women only.

I DO, I DO!!! It had to be booked around my schedule, so my mother flat out asked, 'How's April 5th?' I said, GOOD! And it was done.

I will admit, I am a Showerzilla!
Found the location last saturday Chose the date left the deposit even put together the email blast with all the info for my MOH so she could send it to my BM's Picked out the theme, color scheme, games, and prizes
I am sorry, it is not that my MOH and BM's were inept, but they live OOT and if I wanted a shower I would be happy with I had to do it....all they have to do is execute my vision

My maid and matron of honor are planning it and they both live out of state, so we knew it wouldn't be a surprise for me....All I know is date and location, not even time!

I know the date- but an leaving most of the planning up to my mom and bridal party in terms on location and stuff....most of the bridal party is OOT so there wasn't a way around it really.

Mine is May 9th, its not a surprise because I have to be in New York for it and I live in Maryland. I can;t wait!! just need to find something amazing to where! Mom and MOH are planning the whole thing!

I live in NY, my family is in MD, my BP is in MD, NJ, and GA. So I am having a MD family only shower over my spring break when I am home. My FMIL and Faunts are throwing me a NY shower, but since I am going home a lot to plan they told me that weekend to keep it open, and then my bp is throwing me a shower/bachelorette in MD for all my MD gfs on a weekend everyone could make it.
I'm not planning anything, but I needed to know the dates so I could be in town.

Mine was suppose to be a surprise. However, I found out when and where it was a couple of days before. This made me even more nervous. I wish I had either planned it or I had been totally surprised. Needless to say I needed to gather myself at the shower cause I wasn't totally into my own shower. But in the end I had fun.
My best advice: if you hate to be surprised speak up cuase you want to enjoy your shower.

Mine will also be a surprise. I had been adamant about not knowing a thing, but now I wish I had some clue so I can make sure to show up not looking like a bum! hahaha

I had no idea when it was going to be. My mom told me she wanted to do it some time in early december and to let her know if i had to work any saturdays so she could plan. well she did it on a sunday before thanksgiving instead.
