I am having 11 or 12 (one of my friends may not be able to make it, another issue in itself). The thing is, every time someone askes and I tell them they give me a look! What's it to them, does it really affect the guests in any way? I just don't get why people 'hate' on large bridal parties...

I have 9 bridesmaids, with 2 of them being maids of honor.... Who cares how big it is, its whose important to you! My FH has 13 groomsmen!

I have 6. I wanted to have more but fiance struggled on gettting 6 groomsmen and I didnt want an uneven bridal party. I dont see anything wrong with a large bridal party! The more the merrier! But I think id shoot myself trying to find a dress that 11 girls liked. it was a headache with 6 lol

I decided to do same colors (Silver and Charcoal grey) different dresses. I have to MOH's two who I am putting in Ice Blue. So really, I will have three colors. Hoping my vision actaully comes through in the pictures though...

I'm having 2 MOH, 5 BM, 2 Jr BM, 1 BestMan, 5 GM, and 2 JR GM. I've heard people say the bigger the wedding party the longer it takes to get go down the aisle. But I think it shouldn't matter. All the people in my bridal party are family and I want them to be in the wedding because they play an important role in our lives.

5 including the MOH.
I've had to leave out FSIL and one of my friends from college. We're only having 100 guests so I think 5 BMs is more than enough. I think my college friend is mad at me for that as she is not answering my texts asking for her mailing address.

I've been in a HUGE bridal party (like 20 people all together) and a small one (2 on each side), I just felt like it was easier to do the smaller. Plus I'm not THAT close with a lot of girls, so I only wanted to people that I really loved to stand beside me. If you have 11 girls that you are that close with that's amazing and it's something you should celebrate!

Same here. My bridal party is currently uneven becuase FI can't come up with a 5th groomsman.

I am having 10 bridesmaids, 2 of which are a Maid of Honor and Matron of Honor. I love my girls and they are all either me or FH's family so even better! Fh also has 10 groomsmen, 3 are his brothers and the rest are my brother and his cousins! We have a HUGE family!

This is so true! We have 6 on each side. 11 is a large BP, people may just be surprised. I don't get why people hate on it either.
Also, your idea for their dresses sounds gorgeous!

I am having 5 bridesmaids, this includes the MOH. It doesn't matter how many you have...if it makes you happy having 10 or more....SO be it!!! IT's YOUR wedding. Noone should be judging...just enjoying :)

I'm having 5 including my MOH. There's a few other girls I kinda wanted to ask but didn't because too many girls leads to too much drama in my own mind. I think you should have as many or as few as you want. Who cares what other people think, it's your day!

I'm having 8 which includes one maid of honor and one matron of homor. It doesn't matter how big your bridal party is as long as your happy with it. Who cares what everyone else thinks?
