I had 3 points....and my alterations were about $230...I had a hem, taking in the bust, putting a new zipper, and the bustle

She told me I would need 8-10 points and that each point costs $10-15 depending on the type of bustle. The alterations are capped at $175.

I dont know about the bustle points, but my shop (BURTONS!!!!!) DOES NOT charge for alt's, they only charge for the bustle
60 for a regular bustle or 75 for a french bustle,
im going with the french, sooo pretty

They are charging me $140 for alterations (capped at $150)

And $10 per bustle point, I will be having 7 so... $70

Total of $210 just on alterations! 0

I am not sure how many points they just tell me it will be multiple colored ribbons - they have a set fee of $100 for a bustle

don't feel bad, my alterations are capped at 350 and my bustle is 95. It's ridiculous, but I didn't know it was at the time.

I had 3 points for my bustle which was $150.00 including alterations.

Um...can I say...thanks for this post as I had NO IDEA what a bustle point was or that they didn't come on your dress already or that you had to pay more for them!!!

My alterations were 'everything included' though...so I guess I'll find out when I make my appt for my fitting!

My dress has 3 bustle points, but then I also have a sheer duster jacket over it, and that has about 6 points. I don't know what they charged.
