We have three cats at the moment. My mom found a baby kitten in her shed and won't be able to keep it for good. We are thinking about taking in this one when she is old enough. But I already have three.
How many are too many? And none of them are young (9,8,6) so I would hate to do anything to traumatize them.

That is really up to you. If you feel that your cats will accept this one, I'd say go for it. I have two right now and that is enough for me :0). My kittybrats are 5 (brother/sister from the same litter) and very spoiled. They don't really get along with other cats though. Why don't you try to have the kitten over the house and see how they interact before you make the commitment.

One!!! just kidding.... i had three at one time plus three dogs and it was way too hard. my friend had 7 cats.. now she only has 3 cuz her and her fiancee broke up. i even knew someone with 9 but they kept it clean so you would never know. its all up to you.
