Can you tell this is one of my nightmares? I have been advised to bring extra $$$ to pay for these ppl....But I might be mean enough to turn them away!

I don't know if this applies. The woman who used to take care of my grandmother was invited to the wedding with her husband. She brought her son and sister!

Not a single one.
Our wedding was really small, and most people knew we were concerned about the size, so maybe that's why?? I don't know, but we were fortunate in this regard.

we had one- my mom's friend ended up bringing a date when she told us she was coming solo, we had to squeeze and extra seat at her table for him.... we also had 3 of DHs cousins leave after the ceremony and not come to the reception ( even though they had RSVPd that they were coming). we ended up having to pay for them, because we had included them in out count that we gave the hall..... i can understand if an emergency came up and they couldn't make it... but they came to the church, and not the reception... it was weird!

We had 2- but they were the BEST CRASHERS EVER!!!! Yeah Donna (Doodles) and Chris!
and actually 4 people had to leave, so I told them to stay and it worked out perfect!!

My hall is awesome and wasn't going to charge me anyway...but I had 2 crashers...although I had 11 no shows. So there was no way I would have ever paid for them.
As to 'where would they sit?' At that point, it's up to the Maitre 'D...don't stress about this!

I totally agree. We are not setting up a new table to seat 'crashers.' It's not a b-b-q where you can just show up as you please nor bring anyone with you. THE NERVE!!!!!!!!!!
