How many days did the sellers put on your contract to find a mortgage?
Is 30 days unreasonable - our lawyer is pushing for 45 days.

Ours says 45. Anywhere between 30-45 is pretty standard, but the longer it is the better it is for you in case you should have any unexpected trouble.

contract read 45 but since i procrastinated we had to get a 3 day extension. 30 days should be fine.

Ours was 45 days but you can file for extensions if you don't get one within the timeframe. We ended up needed 2 extensions because the broker we were working with was screwing around. Once we finally decided to do it on our own it took a little bit to get the commitment letter.
