How Many did you Invite? And how Many said Yes/NO???

My minimum is 150 and I really do want to keep it around that number.... so we are thinking of inviting about 185 so far. I'm afraid to invite too many people and end up with more people and having to order more center pieces, etc. How many people did you invite and how many people RSVP No? So far the people I've spoken to make me really feel like they'd come (esp. people I've spoken to that I work with). What do you guys think? I should keep the invited list at 185 or go higher or leave it alone??

We invited 268 and got 208 yes and 60 no's. It's totally by chance, but the rule of thumb is that usually 25% say no. If you really need to stick to the minimum, then you could have an A and B list and send the A's really early and as you get no's send the B's out. hth

I agree about the A and B list idea ... thats a great idea to get the # close to what you need. Also, i noticed that the 20% rule of NO's can vary A LOT if you book on a holiday. But to answer your question i invited 160 and 132 said yes.

We invited about 215 people and had a final number of 165.

We invited 150 and 113 responed yes with 3 no shows on the day of. Surprisingly, everyone from work including their spouses showed up.

if you really dont want to go over...then i would stick with the current list. If you go under the minimum the RH will sometimes throw in some extras to make up for the cost you are spending

i invite 200 & 180 came- i got lucky!

Invited 265.. 240 said yes 25 said no
