How many DOC consulations did you go on?

Maybe I will get a better response from my 2011 ladies...lol

Well I just recently started entertaining the idea of getting a DOC. Even though I am not 100% sure of what the difference is between a DOC, bridal attendent, and Maitre'd. The DOC I know does more for you outside of the hall.

So the pricing isn't as bad as I assumed...so I am thinking about going on a consulations with either Cheeky Glam or A Modern Day Affair. They seemed to have the most fair pricing. Tips of what to ask would be great, not sure...and should I go to both just to feel out the difference?

I just set up an appt with cheeky glam for sunday. I've seen people say they booked on the spot...so just trying to et others opinions

I am working with AMDA and they are FENOMENAL! Laura is amazing!!!!
I booked with her!!!!

I just went to her and das it!

She has amazing prizes!

I got 2 DOC for less than $400!!! They had a special during that time!
For 12hrs each one!!!!

Yea I got their pricing and it wasn't under (guess I'm not catching that sale. )

But both were very similar in pricing.

thats what im toying with.... If the Maitr'd is supposed to run the show, then why would i also have a DOC? HELP girls i have issues lately !!!!!

Well another reason why i got AMDA too was because I am havint my Ceremony at a Church and they will be helping me out with everything. Plus they will come to the Hotel where Im getting ready n be there for me IF i need antyhing While the other DOC is the Church fixing all details....

I want things to go smooth n everyhting on time, and I know they will help me to do taht...

I think a DOC is a GREAT Idea..

At least with Mine (AMDA) i have MANY things this way I dont have to worry about!!

I have 2 DOC... for 12 hours Each!!!
They will come to my Final meetings wiht Vendors to amke sure I get wat i want on the wedding day
They can arrage the BP procession & Receiving line
Make my Receivin line 'faster' since Ill be running out of time IF every guest wants to start talkin lol!
They have the Bridal Emergency kit
They will make sure everythign goes smooth n great at Chuch n RH...
They will try to 'fix' any challenges that occur...

Well As I said I am getting married at a Church So it works out fantastic for me!

I also have my Matri d at RH...

But I know even though my wedding hasnt come yet, those couple of hundred $ are SO worth it!
My Eparty was a mess since no one was there to help me...


Do you get appts with the Matre D'?? Will they come to the appts with teh vendors to amke sure they know exactly wat u want?
Like Will he know All the details of what U want for Ur wedding?

See thats why im so lost! I can handle and dont need assistance with preparations before the wedding, like meeting with vendors, that I dont need assistance with.
What im concerned about is the day of at the reception... Does anyone know if the maitre'd will put out place cards, menus etc

I'm using Leane from Above & Beyond Events. I think she'll be great (there are good reviews about her on this site and wedding wire)!

I worked with AMDA and I couldn't have been happier with their services.

The price was right and I feel like they really went above and beyond their services.

They made a trip to the RH for me to drop off extra stuff I couldn't drop off in time, they made sure I always had a drink in hand, when guests gave me envelopes, they made sure they made it to the card box (I trusted them completely, so there was no issue with the hand off), they made a time line for me and when things were getting close, they consulted me and we made decisions on what to cut out of the schedule last minute so I could do other things, they had my 2nd pair of shoes ready for when I wanted to change and then later on, they had my flats for when my feet were crying, and SO MUCH MORE.

I just remember them being on point with everything and I wasn't stressed about anything.

My Mom didn't think we needed a DOC, but within an hour of them being there, so took back what she said. She was so thankful for them.
