Is anyone ordering extra invitations incase or to have them to send out if you want to invite more people? My vendor asked me to tell them how many we needed and I have that number but I want to order a few more just in case, what's a good number?!?

we had 183 envelopes printed, and ordered 200.

If you think a lot of people might not make it from the A-List you might want to make sure you have enough for the B-List.
I ordered an extra 10 invitiations and extra 14 envelopes. (this was to account for people on the B-List)

we needed 98 invitations and will probably order 125 just to be safe- sometimes they dont all print perfectly and then if we need more we have them

Definitely order extra to be safe. For some reason things changed after i ordered my invites and i only ended up having 2 extra!! originally i thought i would have at least 10 extra.

Yeah i need 90 but i was going to order 100 maybe i will order 105, it changes the price of the invites as well from thermography to flat once you go over 100 but i guess i will have to deal.

we ordered 25 additional because it was so little. It was the same amount as if we ordered 10 more.

I think now she said because we are going to have the extras with a different RSVP date, we have to do flat printing vs. the thermography, the only problem is i don't know what that means! I can figure out the flat part but what is thermography? does that mean it is raised, is it nicer? am I going to hate the flat invitations?!?!?! I think it is more expensive as well.

thermography is the raised & it depends- a lot of invitations because of the graphics etc still look really pretty even though they are flat printed

Yeah see to be honest I can't remember a single invitation to any wedding I've ever been too it is sad but I don't remember if they were raised or flat i think for the most part, they were all just traditional and not embellished, maybe that is why...lol

i need 147, I'm ordering 175... so that's 28 extra
I thought you have to order in blocks of 25, could be wrong though. I don't want to risk only having 3 extra, so going with 28 extra. Ordering an extra 25 with your order now is A LOT cheaper than ordering an extra 25 by itself later because they'll have to setup the template (or whatever you call it) all over again

I ordered 100 and sent out all but 14 I think.... Might sent out a few more too (waiting for information from FH for family in Columbia )

Thanks for your help ladies. I know that we aren't going to put any more people on the guest list that is a def. We had to cut it to begin with so we are at a good number both sides know there are no more add ons, the only way we will add on is if we get a lot of no replies and then i will send out the extras that I have, so I guess now we will go with 15 extras!
