I have 86 people I'm sending them to (about 165 guests).
How many invites should I order? Is 90 too little?

I needed 100 invites... i ordered 125 b/c i could only order in packs of 25...
You may want to order at least 10 extra, to leave room for mistakes, and last minute add ons to your guest list.

i thought i needed 90 so i was going to get 100
at the last minute i got 125 ( only sold in packs of 25 ) and i ended up needing about 112!

Do most places send you extra envelopes anyway?
There isn't anyone else that can be added to our list, so I'm wondering why people order a ton more?
Tilde - why did you wind up needing more? Late additions?

im doing 10% more than what i need.
we are approx. at 126. So we are looking at 140

oh please.. DEFINETLY buy more than u need.. that 10% rule sounds like a good rule of thumb.. i thought i needed 120.. i sent out 146.. i have extrodinary (sp) circumstances but i def suggest over ordering.. if u need to mail 86 order 96 at least..

YUP! i had been asking FMIL and FH for MONTHS for their lists
and they kept adding people, even weeks after the invites went out!!!
some also had imperfections just strange stuff that happens in the printing process. . . .
plus dont forget one for yourself!!

I haven't ordered invites yet but I would get at least 100 bon. Better safe than sorry and it will cost a lot more to order extras later on then just ordering them when you place the initial order
