how many fittings is the norm?

how many fittings is the norm?

today is my 2nd fitting.
will i have 1 more, or is this it?

also, what should i tip the woman doing my alterations?

I had 3 fittings. I'm not tipping the lady. She owns the store, she's been less than cooperative with me and my BM's and she charged more than enough for the alterations.

I'm going for my 2nd fitting this week and if all is good then I'll be taking it home w/ me. I guess it all depends on how much work needs to be done to the dress.
