Its been almost two weeks and since then 4 people have had to cancel for various, understandable reasons. I completely understand but I'm bummed! I guess as it comes closer, there are more unavoidable unforeseen circumstances. Did you guys find this too?

We had 8 people cancel....all in the week of the wedding, all for different reasons--some suspicious, some legit...you just have to let it go sometimes....we ended up inviting 6 more kids (some of DH's cousins who we had cut in the first place b/c we couldn't fit them in the room, but they were traveling with their parents anyway)....

We had 8 cancel the week of for various reasons and 2 cancel before that. So we had 10 cancellations all together and 8 of them we had to pay for!!

We had a few...and get prepared for the no-shows...that is the worst part!!!!!

hmmm... we have one older couple that had to cancel for health reasons
also, one groomsman who booked his flight 6 days in advance but is coming, and one friend ask me what day my wedding is but he's coming
no true last minute cancels .... yet ?

We've had two couples cancel, and one no-show. I honestly expected more no-shows.

my aunt said she was definitely flying in (from PR)and then she called to say that she wasn't coming because she didn't know where she was staying (WHAT THE SERIOUS HELL -- most of the family lives in New York)
It's just an excuse and I'm really upset. She's 75 but in perfect health and I am the only niece that keeps in touch on a regular basis.
She wants me to send lots of pics but I hung up thinking 'Don't hold your breath' I know, I know --not nice

Yeah I had about 6 cancel and then some no shows!! And they havent even called to say anything. One of the no shows I saw recently and she said hello to me and acted like nothing. I was waiting fo her to say sorry. People are so rude!

We had 6 people cancel after giving a final count to the RH. None of them could be helped, so we weren't mad or anything. Just bad timing!

The Fountainhead told me they would refund me if anyone cancels. I had till the night before the wedding to let them know. I just had to have my minimum. They cut me a check I got it last week. Ask your hall if they would do the same.

Wow that worries about the no-shows. We were going to give a smaller number than we expect to the RH but how do we do that and have them not set up the right amount of places?

I probably wouldn't give a lower number. I would hold the number true to the amount of the Yes RSVPs. Ask your hall if they will refund you for no-shows bc I'd rather have empty seats than not enough.

i only had 1 couple not show and its b/c she gave birth to their son totally understandable!!!
