Ladies, I need some help here: I am looking for a videographer within my budget $1200 - $1500 - But I am not quiet sure how many hrs I really need the Video guy for... It can be very tricky....
WHO are you using? HOW many hrs? Thanks so much!!!!

I'm using celestial photo for photo and video... Their video package is a little above your range but the guy stays the whole event.... FM me if you would like more detailed info

I'm not getting video but I would say you would want the video guy to arrive when you start getting ready, obviously be there for the ceremony, and then be at the reception until all the following have been captured on film (if you're doing any of them):
In between all that, the video guy should be capturing alot of 'fluff' footage of people dancing and mingling which he can use inbetween all the main events.
How long you need the videographer pretty much depends on how you schedule your reception .

Couped up is definately in that price range! Go to Coupedupproductions.com The owner's name is Rob Coupe. He is awesome! THe prices usually depend on how much editing is done. I have the middle package with him- $1695 for moderate amount of editing, chapter's, recap, baby pics, honeymoon pics, 10 hours of his time and 5 DVD's

our videographer was there for the ceremony on, we got married at the RH. Probably a total of 5-6 hours. We just got our video back and he did a great job and got all the important stuff! We went through our photographer (Sherwood Triart). they aren't cheap, but good!

We used Blue Sky Video. He was there about 8 hrs. (Met us at the church while getting out of the limo and stayed for the entire reception). I didn't feel like need to have him at the house. We have our own video cameral which we took out and filmed the girls having fun getting ready. i want to say the edited package was around $1300. We only got the unedited video for around $700. He doesn't copywrite it so I can burn it for my family and I can always go back and get it edited if I have $ later. (although I doubt I will because some of the stuff they edit out is way too funny to miss)

I think you can def find a photog in the price range... just call around ask your photog company, if they dont offer video, ask them for recommendations in that price range. GL!
