How many Invites did you order?
Okay, I am done with Invitation wording - ready to have them printed - here's the big question, I have 180 people on my guest list right now, however, I do remember more people I want invited, but kind of made a B list for them. How many invites do you think I should I order over the guest list?

Re: How many Invites did you order?
I would definitely order 20-25 more than you need. I would probably order about 125 invitations.

Re: How many Invites did you order?
Most places make you order in bundles of 25 or 50. I would make sure you have at least 25 extra.I had a guest list of about 260 people (not couples). I ordered 175 invites. I have about 25 left over. I had to resend some (people who didn't get the first one..then there are last minute people you remember...then those that get returned for wrong addresses - I had about 3 of them).
Being I did the calligraphy on my PC, I am very low on inner envelopes (I have about 5-8 left - printer jamming and eating envelopes). I had ordered 50 extra outer envelopes but didn't realize that the inners were going to be more problematic. I recommend the extra envelopes if you are addressing them yourself.

Re: How many Invites did you order?
I needed 88 and order 125 sets- and I am glad I did that. You always want more than you think you will need, plus it is not that much more expensive to order more when you place the orginal order. Afterwards it costs A LOT of $$ to do a re-order. Better safe than sorry.

Re: How many Invites did you order?
I ordered 25 extra - but really this was a waste. You really don't need that many extra invites or response card, only a few - what you need A LOT extra of are the envelopes, especially if you're doing them yourself!

I agree jpsgirl...I handwrote mine out too and I needed a lot of extra envelopes when I was spelling things wrong!

Re: How many Invites did you order?
Right now, I need 111 invitations, but that might change slightly. The company I ordered from does multiples of 25 so I needed to decided between 125 and 150 and I went with 150 to be on the safe side. Sot only to have extra invitations, but also extra envelopes. We are having hand caligraphy and what if she makes a mistake? Which I'm sure can happen when you are writting out 100-and-something envelopes. Plus, its costs less to order more now then having to reorder more later.

Re: How many Invites did you order?
We ordered about 25-30 more. You always wind up adding on extra people that you forgot to put on the list anyway plus you need it in case of mistakes.

Re: How many Invites did you order?
I say at least 30 extra - not only to account for mistakes, but we got a few returned from the PO as undeliverable - then you have to re-print the envelope since the PO hand writes all over it!You also want a few as keepsakes, etc.
