I haven't registered yet, but I think it is ok to go overboard. People will buy/spend what they want and what you don't get, most places give you a discount on after the shower.
it's better to have too much rather than not enough. :) jmo

I don't know exactly, but, you saw mine!!! I also have a small one at Macy's (maybe 15 items).
I'm a little worried it's not enough, but, it's too late now.
And, there is no such thing as overboard!! Whatever you don't get, you can buy at a discount!!! It's also good to give people choices!

there's no such thing as going overboard. whatever you don't get you can always get after the wedding, usually at a discount. it makes it easier for people to shop for you too when there's a variety to choose from. we're having a smaller wedding, so i was afraid we had too much stuff, but i think it's better to have too much than not enough.

Ok, I just checked...I had three, Target, 63 items, Bed Bath and Beyond- 107 items, and Macy's- 38 items. And keep in mind there were multiple quanities of certain things (especially on Macy's, that's where my 'china' was), but, people kept telling me that I didn't have enough...(which makes no sense to me, since my shower was Sunday, and there's STILL plenty of stuff on the registry)...
So, there's no such thing as overboard, everyone's got different ideas...you may as well put as much on there as you can, so no one can complain that you didn't give them enough options!

i just have some stupid spiteful people in my family that are gonna see that long printout and think im asking for too much but they can shove it.
i only have 2 registries bb&b and target. target i only have like 6-7 items cuz i heard they are terrible with their registries. bb&b i have over 170 items and thats not including multiples.

I have so much on my registry. I registered for my E party in June and most everything I registered for was bought! So now I have to go back and register for random things cause it's usually the shower you get a lot of things...I'm not complaining of course I love presents but Now I have to put a lot more stuff on!

I have 46 items at Target and 66 items at Linens and Things. Some items I have multiples of like towels and sheets. It was tons of fun when FH and I registered....we got to make out ultimate Christmas list!!!

Go overboard --- ours are almost empty now! We had a lot at BBB and Crate & Barrel and only a few on Macys but we plan to add more eventually.

yea ALOT of random kitchen stuff i have is under $10 so i guess it evens out
