are having or had their rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding? Was it too much? I really wanted it 2 days before but my church didn't have it available. Because I am having alot of people from oot I could only do it the night before. I'm kind of bummed because I didn't want everything so crammed together. Can anyone share their experiences?

Re: How many ladies...
is it possible for you to do it a little bit earlier the day before rather than at night? this could leave you some extra time in the evening to relax before your big day.

We are doing the rehersal the day before the wedding but since our wedding is on a Sunday we are doing a luncheon on Saturday rather than a dinner.

Re: How many ladies...
I have a Friday wedding and I don't want to have to ask people to leave work early on thursday on top of taking friday off. I'm sure it will be fine... just not what I wanted to do.

Re: How many ladies...
We had ours friday night at 6pm and then dinner after. I was home and in bed by 11pm. It was not to much and was actually better for me because it left the weekend before free to finish last minute things. I wanted it this was and was not going to have one if the church told me it had to be earlier.

Oh wow - this is literally the same thing I'm doing! So that this way I'll have the whole evening to relax and go to bed early, etc.

Re: How many ladies...
I'm having my RD the night before. We're getting married Saturday - the RD is Friday night. The rehearsal is scheduled for 6:00. Dinner for 7:30. I hope to be home by 11.

Re: How many ladies...
We are having our rehearsal the night before. Church is at 6:00 and dinner at 7:00. It's all close to the hotel so it shouldn't be to bad. I have a few people staying in my room (my niece, FSIL, FG and MOH) I'm not expecting to get to bed any time early - lol. Since we don't live where the wedding is taking place this is what worked for us.

i did mine the night before. it was just perfect. i wouldn't have wanted it any other way. After the dinner we had a lil after party back at our house and it really was just relaxing before the big day!

Re: How many ladies...
I'm doing a dinner the night before but not an actual rehearsal!! So not sure what to call it We're getting married on a Sunday so we can't do a rehearsal friday or sat. We're going to do a small one on thursday night but not all of the wedding party will be there. Not sure what time we're doing the dinner but our ceremony doesn't start until 6pm so I think the timing will work out.

We're doing it the night before. I know it will probably be a little stressful but it's what was easiest for us and everyone else as far as getting time off work.

We're doing mine the night before, but still are unsure of where. We need to find a place.
