I do. One of my ex's (we dated for 3 years from '96-'99) who moved out to CA. He was my first love. If it wasnt for the distance we would probably still be together. We talk on the computer ALL THE TIME. FH knows and hes ok with it.
I do have one boyfriend (the one before FH) who if I saw on fire I wouldn't even think about peeing on him

I dated my ex from 1992-1997, and it was not a great relationship. I woke up one morning, and realized this. Two days later, I met Brian and we started dating. Over the last five years, Ex and I have remained good friends, and he I still hear from him regularly. Does FH like this know? Yes. Is he thrilled about it? No...

DH and his Ex still keep in touch, I hate the fact that they do, but I TRUST HIM COMPLETELY, besides they were more best friends than lovers

hellllllllllllllllllls no----totally not into that---just don't think it's appropiate----if you see them randomly in a store or something-then yea how are you type thing but definetley not on a regular basis. no offense to anyone that does---it's none of my business and everyone feels differently

kptoys...LOL! You're too funny! My last boyfriend before my DH is a real psyho! I ran into him a week before our wedding and he broke down and cried, (somehow he knows all about our wedding, where our new house is, etc! ) and that if me and my DH's marriage doesn't last, that he and I can still get married! WTF?????
Oh and get this.... he used to be in computers, working in the city, but claims that when I broke up with him, he decided to sell the ring he had for me (yeah right!) and used the money he had saved with our me knowing for our downpayment on a house to go back to school to become a teacher. Then he goes and gets a job in the same district as me and my DH! . The kicker of all of this is that he told me that he knows the real reason why we broke up...I wanted to marry money! again WTF???? my DH is a teacher! Oh reah right, it had nothing to do with you telling me you fell in love with another girl and couldn't make up your mind as to who to be with!
Now my DH is trying to transfer to the middle school and there's a good chance he'll be in the same building as my ex (we just found this out!)
Any other psycho ex stories out there? Am I the only one????

I do...I have 2 ex's who are like my best friends. I don't know what I would do if neither of them were in my life.... I consider them a sort of help in my life- they help me figure out what I wanted in my Mr. Right!
Anyway- my FH doesn't mind (I tell him whenever they call, or come by, which is once in a blue moon). If he starts to mind, then I'll have to stop talking to them.

I have one Ex that calls once in a blue moon, nothing major. It will probably stop once I am married.
I am not a fan of being friends with ex's I think it makes for an uncomfortable situation with your FH/DH.
As for male friends I have one close platonic male friend who will def be at my wedding.

Neither of us keep in touch with our ex's. I never really practiced that because I always felt like someone still had hope. Out of nowhere an ex started emailing me right before I got engaged. We exchanged several emails .. kind of like how we are doing and we both had significant others in our lives. As soon as I got engaged, his emails stopped...thought that was strange.
As far as guy friends, I do have a bunch and DH trusts me so it isn't an issue. For the most part, what I find is as soon as the guy friend gets a girlfriend they are not allowed to be in touch anymore...it is pretty sad. I have lost some really good people in my life because of jealous girlfriends.

Hmmm. Well, define 'ex.' I used to date this British guy in the early 90's that I stayed friendly with for a few years (mainly on the phone but he came to visit once for 2 weeks).....anyway, he called me out of the blue the week after Sept. 11 to make sure that everyone was ok - I hadn't heard from him in at least 3 years before that - and he continued to call sporadically until around Christmas 2001. Christmas I had gone to Texas to see my Mom while FH stayed in my apt. The ex called one night while I was in TX, FH answered the phone and uh, the British guy hasn't called since! LOL!
My first love is happily married with two babies back in Texas. And I'm glad for him.

I have 2 ex's I am friendly with...one from high school and one from college. I guess we chalk it up to being young. Both came to my wedding, one with his wife and the other with his family. It really depends on the breakup and nature of your relationship. Everyone is different. I wouldn't have invited all of my ex's. lol!

Not really. I went out with someone in HS and college for 7 years. We were close for a long time after that but now we only see each other at parties (his brother is married to my good friend).
