i feel like i won't be able to take a vacay like this in A WHILE. and if i'm gonna have such an extravagant party...i might as well have an extravagant honeymoon right??
anyone else feel this way??
or am i trying to make myself feel better for spending so much on a honeymoon?

We are. I am a little stressed about how much we are spending but FH always tells me that we probably will not go on such an expensive vacation for a long time so we might as well do it now.

He is right. But I am always the worry wort but I know it will be amazing so what the heck!

we're going on a 2 week road trip from San Francisco to Seattle. I've never been out west. We're pretty much just winging it, but we have a few def. stops (San Francisco, Napa, Lake Tahoe, Redwoods Nat. Forest, Portland, Mt. St. Helen's, and Seattle)

LOL! I felt the same way before we booked our honeymoon. My FH keeps telling me that this is the one time in our lives when we are going to be able to do this carefree. He keeps reminding me that after we get married we will be thinking about upcoming expenses (ex: house, etc). So since we are a bit more flexibility to do this now then we should. He reassures me. I have to tell you that I am super pumped.

we are going over the top but sort of cheating. We are flying to London staying for 5 days and then going down to Paris for a week. But my fil's are giving us a week of their time share and we are using that for paris. It's still not gonna be cheap but Fh says we should do it now while we can.

Unfortunately, not over the top, just started a new job and can only take 2 weeks off, this includes the wedding stuff before honeymoon. Our trip will be modest, but we're going to Disney. Not once in a lifetime, but excited nonetheless.

I wish we could spend a lot but we have a budget pretty much for everything...we are going to aruba and not hawaii but I am happy to be just getting away with my honey!!!

We haven't booked it yet but I can't wait! I think we're going to Hawaii. I want to go over the top so badly. We'll be getting wedding gifts to pay off some of this stuff, right? What's the point of going to Hawaii and being afraid to spend money?! (I am so trying to justify this!)

Aruba is amazing. Trust me it is not a down grade. We were there twice in one year. FM if you want any info. Good Luck!

I think our honeymoon won't be OVER THE TOP, but it'll definitely be more expensive than a ordinary vacation. We are in the process of purchasing a house as well as paying for our own wedding. If we could, we would chose to go to Tahiti or South Africa for the Safari. Instead, we are picking either Thailand or Hawaii. They are still really nice places as well. We will be exhilarated with either one.
