How many of you are doing....

bathroom baskets for the reception? I'm considering it, but I don't know? Are they really necessary?

I am going to do it Angela - i think it is cute - and I am going to try to incorporate my theme - i cant remember how the bathroom looked at the NRC - so i have to go see it again -

I'm going to do it also...but I'm not doing anything crazy...just getting a nice basket at Micheal's and filling it with tylenol, tampons, hairspray etc...

should a basket be made for the men's room too?

I'm not. The hall has bathroom attendants and they have baskets in there.

I won't be doing that, I think the bathrooms at the Jericho Terrace are very accomodating.

I have been to weddings without them and those are usually the times that they are most necessary. I would suggest doing it, simply because I know how frustrating it could be when all of a sudden you hairdo falls or something like that. Plus, no one says that the products in the baskets need to be expensive...hit CVS!

Speaking of CVS, have any of you ladies been to Harmon Discount Store? That's where I shop for my stuff...and they are sooo much cheaper than CVS and Eckerds (and they also accepts coupons too, so I do really well there). Knowing me, I'll probably end up doing the bathroom baskets, one for mens and one for the women.

Does anyone have a list of what type of items to put in the baskets?

Bandk aids (for foot blisters)
Hair Spray (2 bottles,trial size)

Great list Angela! I think there is a poem you can include also.

From that list, I probably would not include toothpaste (I dont think anyone will brush her teeth without a toothbrush). And I would probably include trial sizes instead of larger packs of advil, instead of a big bottle, and get mini mouthwashes instead of one big scope. Oh, and dont forget to add gum and candy.

Angela: I would have someone in charge to take them home. I'm not sure if I'm doing them yet. I already have so much work to do (i.e. candle place cards and programs )

I am doing one, but just in the girls bathroom. My hall has one, but when I checked it out I didn't like the way it looked. So I bought a cute basket at Michaels that was 50% off during the holidays and I will decorate that and fill it with some essentials. Thanks for the list!!

I would first make sure that you don't have bathroom attendant, you might be stepping on there toes.

I do, so I'm not doing baskets.

I did however get Harmon coupons at BB&B when I registered, b/c the one in Elmsford ( Westchester) has a Harmon store INSIDE it.

Haven't been there yet though.
