I'm an '08 bride crashing...the veil I wanted was cathedral length and i actually had it custom shortened because i wanted to be able to wear it all night if I decide I'm comfortable in it!

I have a cathedral for the ceremony and first dance then its detachable and I am wearing the elbow tip veil for the whole night.

I haven't decided for sure yet. If it bugs me, I'm going to take it off after the first dance. If it doesn't, then it can stay all night.

I wore mine for the first dance and most of the night but at some point while dancing with my friends I got hot and ripped it off my head. But my excellent DOC Hollie was right there to take it away

that is exactly what I did!!
Wore a cathedral length veil through the ceremony....the blusher turned into a fingertip veil that I wore through the first dance, and then removed.
IT WAS AWESOME.
Looks amazing in pictures too.

You can also bustle a cathedral length veil.

I have a 3-tier cathedral length veil. I'm planning to take the cathedral layer off before the CH and I'm not sure about the rest. I'll wear it as long as it's comfortable. Hopefully all night. I love my veil - I'm just afraid it'll get annoying after a while.

We shall see! I'm winging it.
