Fh and I have been living together for 3 years. We moved in together after 6 months of dating.

When you know, you know

We do and we have been for probably 7 years now.

we dont and wont be until jan 13, 2008 - I am super old fashioned LOL

does anyone have any tips for making the transition easier?

Yes we do....we just bought a house together and I moved in May of this year so it's been about 3 1/2 months now

Thank god too. We used to drive from nassau to suffolk to see each other for about 4yrs. It was time for a change. hehehehehe.

I've been living out of a bag for a little more than 4 years. FH lives in Suffolk and I live in Staten Island. The commute is horrible. I stay for the whole weekend, then back to work on Monday and back to LI on Fridays. I can't stand it.

talk about stuff NOW!!! your habits, your idiosyncracies, and what you expect of each other...cooking, cleaning...do you want a tv in the bedroom...who cleans the bathroom...who does the food shopping...what kind of decor do you like...
there are a thousand little things that you don't realize can be an issue...if you let them!!!
