How many of you made (or are making) your own programs and/or menus?

Original post by BlondeJD

Are you making your own programs or menus? Any helpful hints on how to do it or where to buy heavy cardstock (we couldn't find anything at the Michael's in Westbury)?

If you ordered yours from somewhere, feel free to let me know where you got them and how they turned out. Thanks!

I ordered my programs from invitations kits direct I haven't made them yet but here is the sample from the website. I started filling in some information into the template and it has been pretty easy so far.

For the Programs

i brought some anna griffin paper from micheals for the cover which are ivory and gold and I got regular ivory paper for the inside. I also got some tassles from ebay.

For the menus

I got warm white linen card stock from paperandmore.com and also vellum paper for the cover. I will stick them together with a bow.

I will be done sometime this week. I will post a pic when I am done

I bought Cardstock paper at Michaels. I think it was a 25 pack (multi neutral colors) and I got it on sale (a few weeks ago) for $1.88 !! I went to the store in Huntington on 110. What I am going to do is create my menu and then take it to Office Max to have them cut the paper so it looks more like a 'menu' than just a regular size 8' 11' paper.

That's a good idea! The programs we really liked (to have professionally done) are 5x5 but I was worried about cutting the paper myself.

Backinneyork-- I didn't even THINK about printing it out at work! Good idea

I bought a paper cutter from Michaels awhile ago. It wasn't too expensive and I used it to cut my menus and STD cards. Also Kinkos has paper cutters in the store that you can use for free.

The hall is providing the menus, but I will be doing my own programs. Haven't decided on paper or anything yet.
