How many of you moved into a home right after you were married???

Just wondering...my FI and I really want to...I am worried that it is going to be hard!

We bought our condo a couple of months before we got married. Though we moved stuff in, we didn't official move in until the day we got married.

We bought a co-op but we couldn't move into it until November...so we lived at his mother's house for 3 months.....3 long months.....

We went into contract about 2 weeks before the wedding and closed 2 weeks after we go back from the honeymoon. It was a little hectic at times but I am glad it worked out the way it did timing wise.

WE'll move into the house as soon as we get married.. we will be closing about April 1st, but wont officially move in until the night of our wedding!

We moved in 3 montsh before our wedding. Honestly it wasn't that stressfull. I know someone who closed a few days before her wedding and she practically had a meltdown. With all the running around between closing and the last minute wedding details it was really too much. I say try to do it a fewe months before if you can.

We closed on our house on June 9th, got married on June 26th, returned from our HM on July 6th (I think) and moved the next day! We had moved a few boxes in before we got married and my BILs brought some of the furniture over while we were in Hawaii. It was a lot but so worth it! I love our house and having a HOME!

It was a lot of stress right before the wedding (especially when we looked at our bank accounts) but we split up the responsibilities. DH handled the bank and all the house stuff and I did the wedding stuff! However I had been under the dilusion that we would have time to move our stuff in before the wedding! YEAH right....I moved about 3 boxes! All we had time to do was paint the bedroom!

we got married in May, signed the contracts in July and moved in Sept 2nd! pretty crazy how fast it all happened but so exciting!

We signed the contracts to our home in on March 30th, Got married May 17th and moved into the house in June.

it looks hard on paper...but it all depends on money...

we hope to start the process of buying in march... apr to may for closing....

Us too. We closed on our condo in June, and we moved in in November. We couldn't have afforded a house in an area that we wanted for school districts for our kids when we have them, so this was a great compromise to save money and not be throwing it away on rent.

we lived in my basement apartment in my grandfathers house for 5 longggggg months....we literally started looking for homes before the wedding, but it didnt work out. We moved into our condo in sept. 03 and we are still like little kids that we have our own place.
