How many of you October Brides......?

ARE FREAKING? I am-I have 19 days to go, a million things to do & I can't believe it will be over!

I only started planning in March of this year but it seems like I've been working on it forever!!!!!!!
I'm so afraid of the day flying by............it really is only one day.
I can't wait to be married & I can't wait to go on our Honeymoon. I'm looking forward to seeing all of my planning play out-but I still feel sorta crappy.

Is this normal?

Don't worry, take it day to day. I am not freaking out though I am getting married in 12 days, woo hoo! You will get all the stuff you need to done, because your list will whittle down really fast like mine did, I just kept an updated list and crossed things off. Of course new things kept popping up but it will all get done, trust me!!

Am I the only one who loves the planning but will be glad once it is over to get my normal life and routine back? It seems like I have no time for anything other than planning!!

I freaked last weekend - unfortunately on poor James, but now I'm just soo elated. I finished most last minute things, and just need to figure out tipping and then pack for Hawaii.

Tomorrow's my last day of work!!!!

I too am worried the day will fly by - I have been planning this for about 18 months. But you know what? I just decided I'll have to enjoy every minute of this day - from waking up in the AM, to getting my hair done, to our first dance

I also decided to see FH before the ceremony for pictures, so that will make my day less rushed and more relaxed and enjoyable.

I have three (Oh Geez!!! ) days to go!!!!
I seem to be calm (for now) but I'm sure I'll be freaking out come Thursday night. The only thing that has me stressing out right now is the weather for Friday, We paid a fee to take pictures at Planting Fields and I'm also paying a LOT to get my hair straightened out, BUT....if it rains, my hair will not stay straight, it turns into a huge AFRO-PUFF!!! So I'm torn on what I should do!!!! Plus I'm not sure if my Matron of Honor is going to show up for my wedding, I haven't heard from her and she's being a total WITCH (for lack of a better word) and ignoring my phone calls, messages, etc...she's had a nasty attitude with me these last few weeks and I don't know why. I bent over backwards for her wedding and this is how she rpays me, she told me she was not attending the rehersal or the dinner but I heard from the other party members that she's still coming to the wedding, ugh.....sorry!! I just had to vent!

oh Evelyn, that's awful! You should not have to deal with her drama this week. Did you ask another Bridesmaid to take her place just in case? 3 days OMG, I'm glad you're calm!

Yeah other thatn the fact that I want to choke her and I'm not sure what to do with my hair, I'm not nervous. Just relax and go with the flow of things, everything will get done & you'll have the most beautiful day of your life!
You'll surprise yourself once you start crossing things off your 'to do list' and you start thinking about saying your vows to your honey....that's the most important part, who cares about what color the flowers are or what color linens you have....all that seems trivial when you really look at what's most important to both of you. SO relax sweetie, take a deep breath & have fun!!!

evelyn, I'm so sorry to hear that. On top of the stress of getting married and now you have to deal with this?! She is obviously very rude.

I'm not freaking too bad (12 days!!! ) and my list is almost down to nothing.

I think the hardest thing I'm having to deal with is moving and packing for Hawaii...for some reason this is really stressing me! I'm wearing jeans everyday next week to work because I can't handle living out of boxes anymore...

I did the same thing, and we closed on our house yesterday so i feel like I have everything left. I spent this past Saturday making my flower angels baskets. I was surprised how much I got done once I sat down to do it. Just pace yourself and if you need help, ask for it. I am sure there are some family or bridesmaids then can help with something. I just try not to stress about things. If you need to vent feel free to email me. I am the 18th so if you need anything just let me know.

I was freaking last month but Im pretty calm now. A little nervous about the weather and stuff..but mostly okay.

10 days here, and I'm in a depression of all things. I just feel like there is no way I am going to have everything done, etc.

Don't worry - it will all get done - I was like that too. But you don't want the worrying to ruin what should be a fun experience.

I freaked the other day about my menus (long story) turns out they looked fine, and my FH unfortunately took the brunt of my anger. I then felt horrible and realized this planning was turning me into a monster! LOL

I have since looked at things with a lighter heart - all those little details are important but they shouldn't make you crazy

I know I'm going to enjoy being a queen for the day!

jps-my fiance gets that way. He is freaking more than me. I think his nerves are getting to him. He thinks there is no way we can get everything done. I am the calming one for him. So if you need to talk..let is know.

There are just a ton of little things we have left .. it will all get done.

So far I am pretty calm. Just feel like I am always rushing around and no time to just hang out or think about planning for the honeymoon. It is only when his mom gets involved with the planning do I freak out. She has to tell you to do things 5 times (meanwhile you know darn well you have to do them). That gets on my nerves and then I stress.

Funny you said that! I was just saying that as soon as I speak to FMIL and FSIL, I get freaked out. Otherwise-I'm ok! They're just so frantic about everything!

Yes, it is great to see I am not alone either. My FSIL does it to me too....I just didn't include it on my first post. FI thinks I hate them and it is not that at all they are just too much in my business. They act like we don't know how to plan our own wedding. Meanwhile one got married 35 years ago and the other is single! I think they are more stressed then we are!

Just figured I would bump this post. How is everyone doing now only a few more days to go for me. We are almost all done just have a few little things to do. This week was pretty stressful but things are falling into place now. We still need to pack and confirm with some vendors. Can't believe Next Sunday I will be in Hawaii!! Yippee!! I had my final fitting today so next time I wear the dress it will be the wedding day

well I'm still flippin! I keep thinking about all of out LI weddings brides for this weekend-I can't believe October brides are getting married!
I'm feeling pretty good today because i placed a bunch of last minute orders & I think i'll get everything in time.
Plus, I met w/ our Reverend again-ceremony is done!
I got my purse, gloves, hair pins & something borrowed today!
I must admit, i'm still feeling overwhelmed.

I know I'll get it all done-it just seems like the list never ends!
