still hold the door/open the car door for you?

I'm just curious and was thinking about that tonight. FH almost always opens my car door first and almost always holds the door open for me. I was just wondering how many others do the same??

He used to EVERY single time, now it's once in awhile. That's fine with me. I'd never even had anyone else open car doors for me, etc., i was like 'whoa..i love you' haha

too funny mine never really ~ we started off as friends sometimes I think he has that 'friends' mentality...but when we go out say with his friends and there wives...and they see him get into the car first and I am walking towards my car door they (the men friends) always come over and say let me do that for you ~ then his friends bust his chops (say what kind of husband are you going to be etc) ~ after that he will start doing it for a little bit until he starts to forget...actually it is kind of funny!

FH holds open doors for me

but he only holds the car door open for me when we have to get our dog in the car LOL

He'll hold a door open but not the car thing. When we first dated he did, but that was only because the lock was broken on his side, lmao Its ok though, there are lots of things he does that couldn't be replaced.

He always holds the door for me but the car is a different story....
Although it may look as though he's opening the door for me it is only because you have to open the passenger side first to get in the car

Mine opens doors for me but not the car. If we happen to be on the same side of the car he will. But mostly not.

Reason # 2 FH still holds the car door open for me, read on:
On our second date before going out to dinner we got some coffee. After we were done we headed out to the car, up to that point he always opened the door, but that time he couldn't because the car was parked really close to a cement wall which was on my side of the car. So I had to squeeze by and open the door myself, and wouldn't you know it I HIT MYSELF IN THE HEAD WITH THE CAR DOOR! I thought I was going to die. I wouldn't let him see it at first, but he insisted...and Ladies his reaction was priceless...'OH MY GOD WE NEED TO PUT SOME ICE NO THAT!' I felt like such an idiot : I had a huge, and I mean HUGE bump on my forehead SO, we pulled into a gas station to get some ice, there was none, so he bought an Italian ice (coke flavor), and put it on my head. Needless to say we ordered in that night and he has opened the door for me every night since... (for obvious reasons)

LMAO!!!!

To answer the post: ALWAYS, every FRIGGIN day, no matter what: Even if it is thunder/lightning/pouring raining... I always joke that when I'm going into labor he'll insist on opening the door for me when we leave to go to the ER!! I tell him he doesn't have to but it's been something that he has done since day ONE and he will not stop-- he says he will never not open the door for me. Sometimes, I just go to open it myself if I get there first and he'll say STOP before my hand touches the car door and then he'll slide in and do it for me! LOL he is obsessed!! I love it though, he's too cute.
