We are now on rice cereal, 3 tbsp. twice a day, and plan to keep advancing her diet and still nursing/BM in bottle - do they take less in the bottle when they have cereal/fruit/veggies? If you are at this point, can you give me your babies typical daily feeding schedule? I'm a little clueless, thanks!

This is Jillians what i do with her.. Wakes up bottle, then I give her two stage 2 jars of baby food, then a 6 oz bottle for the next 2 feedings and then then another 2 jars and then she get a bottle right before she goes to bed...This is what works for me.. there is 3-4 hours between feeling... I have also started giving her a sippy cup of water when she eats.. she gets about 1-2 Oz of water a day every baby is different

thanks - in the morning is it the bottle and the two jars at the same time? Also, does anyone have any idea why my Dr. said no water? giving them a little water totally makes sense, but he says no, I don't know why? thanks!

My doctor also said no to water, claiming that she doesn't need it, she gets enough from the formula. Only if she is constipated she needs more. So, we don't give her water.
This is our routine:
8 oz formula 9 am 8 oz formula 12 pm 2 tblsp rice cereal mixed with 1 1/2 oz formula 2 pm 8 oz formula 3 pm 8 oz formula 6 pm 2 tblsp rice cereal mixed with 1 1/2 oz formula and 1/2 jar of fruit or veggies 7-7:30 pm 8 oz of formula 9 pm
I'd say at the 12 and 3 pm feedings she does not finish the bottle- leaves about 2 oz. But, of course, if I did not offer it, she would scream that she was hungry!

I inly give her about 1pz of formula when i give her food.. to ay wash it down.. i would ask your Dr but mine said i can also give her very diluted apple and white grape juice. I am also trtin to get her used to the sippy cup

my son is 4 months but this is what we do: 9am 2tablspoons rice ceral with about 1oz formula and 1 oz fruit mixed followed by about 5-6 oz bottle 1pm 6 oz formula 5pm 2 tablsp ceral 1 oz formula 1oz fruit mixed followed by 5-6 oz bottle 9pm 6-7 oz formula i think i will up his bottles an oz soon, he loves to eat!!!
