How many people are you having at your wedding (or shall I say inviting?)
How many people do you have to guarantee for your room?
I have to guarantee 200 & I am inviting 210.
I hope they all show!

We had to guarantee 50, we invited 87, but knew that at least 15 from out of town would not be here. We ended up with 64. An it worked out perfectly, 2 did not show up, and my cousins parents from overseas came, and I invited them at the last minute. I actually paid the Watermill for 2 less people, so I wouldn't lose money.

I made sure and lowballed my guarantee, so I only had to guarantee 150, but invited 225. But only ended up with 160 because my relatives from Florida, that SWORE they were coming, ended up not coming at the last minute. But because I learned a lesson from my sister's wedding (she had a lot of no-shows and didn't meet her guarantee because she made it too high), I put them down as NO and didn't end up eating their plates!!! I only had ONE no-show the day of and that was because the Best Man said he was bringing a date, and she didn't come!!! My hubby was p-o'd, but what could you do? I should've put that down as No too, but at least it was only 1!!!!

And don't forget, your vendors aren't included in your count -- they count AFTER you meet your guarantee, as well as kids!
