we want to keep the wedding at 150 - so 50 my side, 50 his side, and 50 BP/friends, etc. my mom just gave me a list with 83 people

We have 398 which is FINE..
But she is telling me how come she can't have so & so..
They are a part of the 'group' I said MOM I don't know them I don't care. She said I am going to her sons wedding .. I said GREAT.. TEll her to send me an E gift...

We decided that my parents and I can invite 100 people total and my FI & FILs can invite 100 people total. My FMIL started to make a scratchy list and she only has about 70 people. So my parents and I can invite 130 people.

I told my parents yes there are some ppl i know you want to invite, they have been apart of my life growing up fine, but if there are ppl that are your friends or work collegues you want to invite, you can but after we see how this guest list looks first.

his mom only wants to invite 10 ppl and his dad wants to invite 2 or 3

Since I hate my FMIL she is not having anyone but her brothers and sisters. I don't care who she wants I told her NO!!
His grandparents have about 50 people...
So its majority my side and our friends!

I didn't limit my dad. But, he basically told me to invite who I want, though, when I press him, he'll let me know if he thinks someone 'should' be invited. My FI has a pretty small family and my FMIL only really requested we invite one person aside from the ones we had planned on. I have to say, our parents have been really great about not giving us a hard time on anything!

I'm not limiting my dad b/c he's the only one helping me...my mother can't invite more than 15 people...and if I don't know them, I'm not sending an invite - she doesn't need to know about it either because I'm not going to argue w/ her over it.
FH's side are all complicated but I'm not allowing them more than 30 people total...but they have people that wont go if another goes so I might not have to limit them at all - they'll do it for me!

I did not give my parents a limit. Turned out we did have to cut some people, but those cut where both my and FI's coworkers. What a nightmare the guest list is - GOOD LUCK!
