How many people out there are living in Sin

Original post by MRSJLK

Just curious to see how many of you are living at home or alone until you get married and how many are already living together

I still live at home with my parents.

They see with such a high divorce rate out there, that you should really see if you can live together before you get married.

I dont know if how valid this is, but i have heard many times in my classes at both USC and GW that ppl who live together have a higher divorce rate. I always thought it was interesting, cause I would have though otherwise.

As for me, I am living on my own - FI and I are 'waiting til marriage' to do the deed ... I can't wait to move in together, its going to be so much fun!

ETA: part of why I personally don't want to move in together is because I don't want the wedding to be anticlimactic. i don't want to get back from the honeymoon and go back to the same apartment we've bene living in, etc. I want it to be a new adventure.

I agree with this too ... the saddest thing I heard was when my friend got married last year and after the wedding we said 'How does the feel' and she said 'eh, same old - same old' ... that just really bothered me

In my opinion, living with my parents would be the real sin. I'm 29 - haven't lived at home since I went to college at 17. Have been out of work for 2 years and have fabulous parents who have a big house but there's no way they'd think it was appropriate for me to live there.
The only acceptable reasons (for me) to live at home after the age of 23 is for serious financial reasons or if someone needs to be cared for because of age/illness.

My mom told me never to marry someone who went from his mom's house to mine and I think those are smart words!
