How many people show up to the ceremony?

How many people should I plan for to show up at the ceremony?

Our wedding is at 2:30 and reception at 6:30pm

We need to know how many programs to print and favors to order for the ceremony...there will be 200-220 at the reception.

We are giving a list of things to do in the area for people and most people will be within 1 hour's drive...

I have another questions..how many people live close enough that they can go home inbetween to get dressed for the recep?

Probably about 25% can go home

The rest it'll take an hour so probably not...

Its kind of hard to say...you said something about things they can do..but can you have them at someones house for coffee? I would say to be on the safe side to have at least 100 programs. Especially some people might take more than one....

If I had to guess, and it is just a guess, I would say that probably 30% won't go to the church for one reason or another.

Personally I say make anywhere from 50-100.

50 if they are expensive or require a lot of work

100 if they are relatively inexpensive or easy to assemble (like anything wedding related is inexpensive )

It's so hard to say with the church - I personally try to go to everyone's ceremony - I love that part of the wedding but it can be hard for some people to go back and forth.

They say like half....I don't know how true that is though.

My sister got married last June and I helped her make her programs. They were beautiful, but took a long time to do. She had about 200 coming to the reception. I think we made 150 programs, we would have been fine with 100. We found that men usually don't take one, but let their dates take one for the both of them. Plus no matter how much you believe everyone will go to the church, it is highly unlikely - I would estimate about 70%.

The past 3 weddings I went to almost everyone was at the church, I'd say 80-90% of the reception crowd.

I only went to one wedding where the grooms side had 125 people sandwhiched in & the brides side had about 20 people (including family) but at the reception there were over 300 people. The grooms mother was told in Italian families they don't come to the church. It sounded odd since I've been to Italian weddings before & th bride has never had that many people skip the ceremony but 'to each his own!'

I rarely see couples take more than one program - usually just the women take one & they share.

I think all of my people will come- but the ceremony is in the RH's chapel, and is only a 1/2 hour.
