How many people did you invite to your shower? How many actually attended?

We are inviting probably around 40. but probably only about 25 will be able to make it. We wanted a small intimiate wedding..so along with it comes a SMALL shower. Our guest list is less than 80 and mostly everyone lives out of state..I didnt grow up here..so its tough..many of my girlfriends cant come for the shower but will make the wedding.

Well. I am asking because I did my preliminary shower list. there were more than 25 people on that list that I don't even know! They aren't distant relatives, they are Brian's mother's boyfriend's family! I have met them twice ever. This isn't fair. Like I don't have enough problems, I have to find a way to tell his mother that Dawn and my motehr are paying for this, 92 people are not normally invited to a shower!

About 20 were invited and 14 showed up. Good thing too because the shower was in my apartment!

I think my list has 35-40, but I don't remember. And there are a few people I don't know on the list, but I don't think they'll come. I mean really, is this going to happen at my shower: 'Hi! I never met you before but thanks for the blender!' ...know what I mean?
