I met with a few photographers in the past few weeks. Many of them were encouraging me to get more than one photographer. I don't know if it is necessary. Especially since they have told me how wonderful their pictures come out. If their pictures come out so great then why do I need to hire another great photographer? Isn't one enough?

We originally booked one but then discussed it & spoke to some brides that used 2 & we decided to go w/ the 2nd. One is more photojournalistic. I figure you also get 2 different perspectives & 1 guy can't be everywhere...We also figured after the wedding the pictures are all we have...

We have 1 regular photographer, 1 photojournalistic photographer, 1 videographer. This way they get you at every angle. You dont HAVE to have more than 1. It's your preference. Not too much, not too little.

Because with two photographers one will capture FH's face as he sees his bride for the first time, while the other captures the bride's face reacting to FH's look.

We got one. We asked her if it was necessary for another one or for an assistant, she said - she can handle it on her own, but it's our choice as to whether or not we'd want an assistant.
We trust her.

I would say it depends on how many people will be at your wedding. We had close to 200 and we definately needed the multiple photographers. One thing to keep in mind is for things like the ceremony, 2 cameras come in handy because you can get multiple angles of the ceremony. We had 2 photographers and one assistant and of our ceremony we had many pics of our fronts, backs, aerial views and of our guests. Just something to keep in mind.

I have one. I have a few friends that are picture taking mavens and I am sure they will be taking a lot of pics during the ceremony and reception.
I couldn't validate the extra cost of getting 2, im on a tight buget!

i think it's ok if you have 1, but imo, if you have 2, there's a lesser chance they will miss a moment. i also like the idea that 1 photog will be with me as i get ready, while the other will be with FH.

We booked 2 photographers (one for 8hrs and the second for 5hrs) Essentially to have double the pictures. I looked at photographers that offered one but you get less proofs. I
and 2 videographers for the entire day. I wanted to have my FH filmed getting ready with his guys & family.
