How many places and where did you register???

I'm having a hard time registering because we had a house fire about a year ago and we had to buy all new stuff.. Then for our engagment people sent us a whole bunch of stuff.. So we registered at Bed bath and beyond (heard they have an awesome return policy ?) where else should I????

We did Bed bath beyond and Fortunoffs for the China. I was going to do Macys but I could find any patterns that I personally liked.

I was registered at BB&B and Fortunoffs.

I've registered at Fortunoff and Pottery Barn and will probably add Crate & Barrell but I am not sure.

BB&B here too and Macy's for china & luggage.

We are registered at Macy's & Pottery Barn.

Macys- pretty much for everything you need and Pottery Barn- for those really cute nick nacks around the house

How early are you really supposed to register???

Well....... I just registered some stuff last weekend but i guess a safe answer would be a couple of months (4-5) before your wedding. I think the drawback of registering too early is some things on your registry may become discontinued for some reason. I am saving my towels, sheets for the very end. Also if you register early just remember to check on the items on your list to make sure nothing is discontinued or if it is you have a chance to replace them with something else.



Edited: If you're having an engagement party then you can register early coz' people will buy off your registry if they don't give you money

We registered at Macy's and Williams-Sonoma. We registered a month after we got engaged beacuse a lot of people wanted to get us stuff and they wanted us to register. I love registering. It has been so much fun:)
