I have family from both sides coming from Maine to Florida out to California. Everyone keeps saying you need a few stores so every area is covered. I assumed Macy's could do that, but they were all bitching at me. So I registered for a few things at 4 places! My Bridesmaids are thrilled but I feel like a greedy little girl!

Re: How many places did you register?
We have registered at Bloomingdales and Bed Bath and Beyond, but are thinking of changing our Bloomingdales registery to Fortunoffs. Just out of curiosity...everyone seems to be registering at Fortunoffs....is it really that much better? What made you pick that dept. store over the others? (I was going to go with it originally but I decided to go with Bloomingdales because there are more locations closer to my family...but I am starting to think Fortunoffs must be better because everyone seems to be registering there!) what made you girls choose it?

Re: How many places did you register?
2 - Fortunoffs and BBB
ETA: We chose fortunoff b/c I love that store, and giftware/household stuff is their specialty! They have such a great selection, better than most other dept. stores, IMO.

Re: How many places did you register?
Fortunoff, Crate & Barrel, and Bed, Bath & Beyond (which gives you the cash back when you return gifts off your registry!)!
I chose Fortunoff because it has been my dream since I was 7 to register there! They have such a great selection of everything... FH didn't want me to register there because he says his family hates going there so I did BBB for them. Good luck!

Re: How many places did you register?
Two Bed Bath and Beyonod because they are everywhere and Crate and Barrel, popular out west but I guess not so popular on the East Coast.

Re: How many places did you register?
That was our problem. Family from Boston saidCrate and Barrel but we don't have any, anywhere close to us. So I picked Mikasa and they don't have that in Boston.

We registered at Fortunoff and Crate and Barrel.. the only thing about Crate and Barrel that I have heard from people that dont live by one is that the shipping is expensive, but I don't know
