How many proofs is average?

How many proofs is average?

I'm wondering because I was disappointed.

Re: How many proofs is average?

I think my photographer told me that the minimum number of proofs I'm getting is 400...but they told me to expect a lot more!

Re: How many proofs is average?

We got just over 500. Some women got less and some tons more.

How many did you get? Is it what the photographer promised?

Do you like the proofs you have?

We're getting min - 8 or 900 (don't remember exactly).
What were you told?

Re: How many proofs is average?

I got totally jerked!!! I got about 150 from my main photographer. I did get about 300 B&W from my photojournalistic photographer, but I paid extra for him, I should have gotten a lot more in color I feel. Not to mention some key pics were not taken in color. I am so disappointed. I need to warn future brides of this vendor. I was told about 300 is average, I didn't realize there were only 150. I am sooooo mad

Eeek! I'm so sorry. I know there's nothing you can do now, as far as having those moments on film, but is the # in your contract? Can you dispute $$? Oh, I'm so sorry...

We got around 900 in film and over 200 in digital photos.

Re: How many proofs is average?

yikes. Is there any chance they misplaced some of your proofs in their office. That's happened to people here.

What did they say when you told them how disappointed you were and that you were expecting twice that many pictures?

I'm really sorry.

Re: How many proofs is average?

The only thing I could do is bash the cr$% out of him on websites such as these. My husband is calling tomorrow to ask what the deal is? He didn't take a picture of my dad giving me away at the church. I have it in B&W from far away, but where was he???!!

I remember him saying about 300, more or less, but 150 less IS RIDICULOUS! I don't think the number is in my contract, my fault, but future advise for brides GET IT IN YOUR CONTRACT!!!

I didn't even discuss it with them when I was there because I'm too polite, but I noticed the stack was so small when they handed it to me.

Oh b2b...I'm so sorry...my worst wedding nightmare is everything photography related...so I can't even imagine how you feel.

I would definitely try to call them...maybe you'll find it easier to open your mouth while on the phone...I know it's easier for me to that way...

Re: How many proofs is average?

Depending on the studio...there are the cookie cutters as they are called, that take 200 to 240 pics. Then there are the more expensive studios that will take anywhere from 700 to over a 1,000 pics.

We have 2 photographers ( medium format and journalistic) so we've been told that there should be approx. 800 and up in pics. But one never knows, the party could be boring and nothing happening....Oh GOD I hope it's not....lol.
