how many push ups can you do?

how many push ups can you do?

Is it me, or is this the most impossible thing to do? It has always been extremely difficult for me to do a push up.... I could do five at first. And now I think I'm up to ten (that's if I really put in a lot of effort)...

Is that so sad????

I workout on a regular basis, so I can do about three sets of 12, or so.

Just keep it up they are great for your triceps and your chest.

Which style? I hear your pain because I feel like they are impossible. I am just starting to work out again and in the past, when I was working out, I remember doing more pushups than I am doing now. I am so out of shape!!

It seems like you're building your endurance. Just keep working at it!

On my knees I can do a lot, but if I do regular push-ups I can do at least 10 (I just tried it out because I had no idea )

Thanks!!!

I'm trying - I just added them to my routine because I really want to tone my arms and upper body . . . It does seem like I'm slowly able to build up more and more... Like the first week I could do 2 (HA - SAD), then the next week 5, now I'm on 10. I guess that little bit of progress alone is motivational.

I still feel so out of shape when I hear about other people doing so many! Oh well, like you guys said... motivational!

Push ups in my opinion are one of the hardest exercises to do properly. I can now do 3 sets of 15 on my toes, but I started out doing maybe one or two, but I really just kept at it.

It takes a lot of patience but you will get there.
