DH and I are looking in such a wide area (we're open to lots of different things, as long as we find 'the one'), that some realtors are hesitant about having to continually go farther out of their usual area, plus they don't really know the other areas as well. So it's looking like we could end up with 3 or 4 realtors. Just curious if anyone else is having to deal with multiple people and is it a big pain in the neck? TIA!

We have a bunch of realtors looking for us. They each send me updated emails every few days of different areas. I would say maybe 3 right now?

We dealt with either 2 or 3 for that reason. 2 were in the same area but honestly they consistantly came back to us with different listings and the 3rd was a different area! I felt better having an agent who is famailar with the area. This way they can better weed out the houses that didnt meet our criteria. I didnt find it to be a pain, however we were bombarded with emails from these agents!

Because we're looking in a concentrated area, we're only working with one...however, when our scope was larger I would just call up the listing agent on the house I was interested in and s/he'd show us the house and usually a few others in our range.

We mainly dealt with one...but over the course of looking for a house, we've met with about 3-4. If we saw a house on MLS, we would usually talk to the one main realtor.

We had so many I had everyone looking but we ended up finding the best houses on our own during 'open houses'.

Thanks. We're just all over the place, from Deer Park to Coram and all over North to South inbetween there. I was just thinking we'd get totally bombarded with e-mails and phone calls too. Guess that's just part of the 'fun' of looking for a house!

We're looking in the same areas, and have only been using one realtor. I feel like I've been doing all the work myself, so I am contemplating calling another as backup

I had several as well for months while looking for houses. I would call them on mls and then they would all send me links and show us houses. Then no one was really helping us and I found a great realtor who found our place for us. He is in Manorville and works all areas of Suffolk. Always called me back within an hour or two. Let me know if you want his info.
