How many registries do you have?

I am concerned if I have too many that I will not get the things I need. What do you think?

I had four ... Target, Fortunoff, Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel ... believe it or not, they all seemed to be equally shopped.

We had four as well,

Fortunoff
Bed Bath and Beyond
Pottery Barn
Williams-Sonoma

and people shopped at each equally. Sometimes one of those stores is closer than the others and so someone will go there.

My coworkers shopped PB for my office shower because there is one near us.

DH's coworkers shopped BB&B because it was close to their office.

There were certain things I LOVED at PB and C&B so I just HAD to register there. I have towels from a million years ago that I love from Fortunoff, so I registered for almost all of my linens there.

And Target I just figured we could register for all kinds of things that the others didn't necessarily cover (backyard gazebo, palm sander, utility chest, reasonably priced pot holders & kitchen towels, etc)

I think I will look for one of those checklists. This way I don;t forget anything. I just don;t want to have an obnoxious registry.

Crate & Barrel gave me a really nice booket that you can check off as you go along. I didnt register there yet, but the booklet is very helpful no matter what store you register.

We did all of our applicances, cookware etc. at Fortunoff.

At BB&B we did linens, small kitchen things, luggage.

We did our linens at BB&B because I didn't like the ones at Fortunoff.

We were going to put our 10 piece pot/pan set on at Bed Bath, but Fortunoff was running a special on the one we wanted, you get something free.

Be sure to check for things like that when you know some of the stores have the same things

I had 2 but I had to get rid of Macy's because everything was discontinued and their service was terrible .

Two - one at Bed Bath and Beyond and one at thehoneymoon.com.

We've lived together for 3 years and already have a house, so we don't need a lot of stuff. We did the honeymoon registry as something fun for us and the BBB registry for our more traditional family.

FH and I do not want China so we didn't need to go to a department store and found all that we needed at BBB... when I first went I hated registering but since then we have went back 3 or 4 times to update...
