Does anyone know how many songs I will need for a full Catholic mass? I know that I will need music for before.....then for the entrance....and then for the exit. How many in between?? TIA!

Re: How many songs for full Catholic mass?
You will need
1. Responsorial Psalm (this can also be read, but I think it's nicer sung) 2. Unity Candle: if you're doing one, many do one here. 3. Communion Hymn (depending on how many people are receiving, you may need two). 4. If you're presenting flowers to the Blessed Mother, (people do this after Communion), it's a nice to do a song here. Most people do a 'Mary' song like 'Ave Maria, Lady of Knock, immaculate Mary, etc.
Your musician(s) or organist can help you with selections. Also, you need to decide if you want the Mass parts sung (i.e. the Holy, Holy, Memorial Acclamation (which is 'Christ Has Died, Christ is risen, etc. etc.) and the Great Amen.) Your cantor or soloist would do this. If NOT, you need to let the priest know and he will SAY all of those during the consecration).
HTH! good luck!

I picked:
Processional Presentation of the gifts Communion Recessional
My organist said she will fill in the rest, whever else I need songs...but I have to pick which ones I liked from the list she gave me, and she will put them in the proper place.
