how many songs for processional?

my band leader suggested that we have 4 songs for our processional; 1 for GM, 1 for groom & parents, 1 for BM and 1 for me and parents.

does that seem like too many songs? we're having a string trio, so i assume they'll have be able to blend them well, but FH thinks four different songs will be distracting to guests. thoughts??

Way too many in my opinion.

Traditionally you'd do one song (such as Canon in D) for the groom and the attendants, and then use the Bridal Chorus for the bride.

We used one song for bridal party and one for my parents and I....I can see maybe transitioning to a different song during the bridal party entrances so maybe three songs in total? Four may be too many....

1 for bride
