It depends on how many people you are having at your wedding. It will look silly if you are having less than like 150. Most people do three MAX

Re: how many stores to register in?

I think it looks a little crazy to register in too many... most of the stores (i.e. macy's fortunoff's, crate and barrel, etc. carry the same type of stuff anyway). I would go with 2... i did and got just about everything from both registeries. you should also think about where the people you are inviting live and wregister at a store that's near or has multiple locations. if you register at too many, you jsut get dribs and drabs from each and nothing substantial... Re: how many stores to register in?

We did 3...
Fortunoff, BBB & Crate and Barrel
I think it gives people more options!

Re: how many stores to register in?

we're going to do register at 2..... (we have a small wedding of 70 people)

Rudy's pottery (in paramus nj) and fortunoffs for the remaining stray items...

FYI for other brides who have 2/3 of their family in jersey- Rudy's is REALLY good for getting a big discount on high end china / crystal / silverware... and has a good rep....

I was really glad I found them!

Re: how many stores to register in?

I'm only going to do one, BBB. I am only going to have, at most, 100 guests so I dont think there is a need for more than one place. But thats my wedding.
