I have been to 3 different bridal stores to try wedding dresses and I fell in love with this particular one in my second visit, my mom and I cried...but I didn't get the dress! I feel is too early to decide for one...have you experienced the same?? Need some advice!

I had that feeling. I tried on 10 dresses, my dress was number 2. It was going to be number one but i refused to try it on first since it was the dress I was dying to try it on. lol Go back and try the one you like on again see if you get the same feeling.

My dress was the second one I tried on. I only put on like 5 after that because I just wanted to be back in my dress!

This! I tried mine on, then 4 others just to try some on. YOu can always find another but if youre happy, buy it. You didnt keep going on dates once you started dating your FH right?

I tried on about 7. The last one I tried on was the one because after I tried that on there was no need to try on anything else.

I fell in love with a dress I tried on at my first salon. Problem was, even after I told her my budget, the consultant didn't bother to tell me that it was more than $2000 over my budget. So I had to move on...
I've tried on over 50 dresses at this point. I think I had such a hard time bc I keep thinking about that first dress. I found one similar to it, and am going to try it on next Saturday.
I think you know if it's your dress or not. You may not have that 'bridal moment' everyone on TV talks about, but I think that you'll know you want to look like that on your day.

I visited 5 different places (one of which I went to twice) before finding my dress. I think I tried on easily 30+ dresses, and I was very discouraged. However, once I found it, I was sure. I didn't believe other people when they told me I would know it when I found it... but it was true. Hang in there! I didn't have that 'bridal moment' but I just felt a sense of calm. You'll know when you've found the right one because it will feel right to you. Don't give up!

I went to four places and at the first three I found dresses that I really liked and thought that I was just going to have to pick one of them. I was definitely getting discouraged. When I put on my dress I loved it but still had a few more in the room to try on so I went to go put on the next one. Half way through it being laced up I said take it off let's go back to the last one and none of the other dresses compared to how I felt in that one!

First place, first dress. But I had done ALOT of research and knew what I wanted, plus I had many changes made ( for example, had the dress changed from strapless to halter.) Know your body and know what designers work with your body type. Also, don't take more than 1-2 people with you. Getting too many opinions can really make you confused.

Some people just dont get 'the feeling' that they need to buy a certain dress- I went to three salons, and when I found one I really liked (pic in my album), I decided that it looked great, i felt great in it, and that many others could possibly look great too- So you just need to buy it, know you look amazing in it, and know that there are thousands of dresses just like that one, and stop looking/wondering what else it out there.... I didn't cry, my mom didn't cry, we just said 'wow that looks amazing, ok we're done!'
my wedding is a year away and I bought the dress in January, so you definitely can get a dress early and not regret the purchase as long as you stop looking after you buy your dress

I tried on about 9 dresses and it was dress #8. I think when you know, you know. You have to ask yourself, can I picture myself wearing this dress on my wedding day. If you love it, go back & get it! Good luck :)

I cant even begin to try to count how many I tried on. Well over 50.. My dress was the VERY LAST ONE that I tried on. I had decided I was going to walk down the aisle in a potato sack and my sister insisted on me trying on what turned out to be my dress. It took me more then 6 months to find my dress. Dont get discouraged. Its out there. I ordered my dress in July 2012 for my Nov 2013 wedding. If your indecisive then its never too soon! Good luck!

I went to about 15 stores some more than once and tried on probably 100+ crazy I know but I wanted to see everything out there before I went the custom route and I couldn't be more happy with my couture dress!!

Thank you for your all your posts, they are very helpful! I am going back to the second store and try on 'the dress' again and see how I feel! I hope they still have it though! Wish me luck :D

The way the light hit it made it look almost wrinkled. If you're going to buy a wedding dress, you want to make sure it looks good in the pictures!!

Unfortunately most places will not allow you to take a picture in the dress unless you are purchasing it... so this is hard to do. Great idea though! Would definitely help,especially if you have to go home and sleep on the decision!

this! I went to two salons and found it at the second one.There was no 'OMG :crying:' moment but my mom and I both agreed it was perfect
