How many towels....

How many towels of each size did you register for? How many colors?

Bath
Bath Sheets
Hand Towels
Wash Cloths
Bath mats.

We like two colors for the BIG towels but would like to get two other colors to use as accent towels and alternate. I just dont know how many to get. Any suggestions?

I really think it depends on how many you think you need... most of my friends have been doing two of each size..

But if you need more.. but it on the Registry.. you can always use more towels

We registered for 4 different colors.

2 sets of pricier towels in two different colors. (2 wash clothes, bath towels, etc of each color)

And 3 sets of lesser expensive of towels in two different colors.

I think they tell you to register for 6 of each - wash cloth, bath towel, hand towel but I like lots of towels so we registered for 10.

i like the big ones so get alot of those. i dont use washcloths so i didnt get any of those and i got some hand towels (like 3-4).
just try to figure how you will hang the towels decoratively in the bathroom.
i found that i hang the bath towels up AND i use them so i need alot of them

We are probably doing the following to start:

we have three bathrooms (or will when we move into the new house) so 3 nicer sets (2 each) of the big bath towel and matching hand/accent towels.

Then we also would like 1 week worth of towels for each of us (although I reuse towels but I still would like extra) - so 14 more big towels (I have some already from college so I am registering for like 10) for everyday use. Probably also get 6 more hand towels and 6 washcloths to match. Plan to do three color schemes (so the towels we use to shower will still coordinate with one of the bathrooms in case I want to use them in the bathroom also!)

I had the same dilemma. I chose:

Bath towels 2 (in 2 colors)
Hand towels 2 (in 2 colors)
Wash cloths 2 (in 2 colors)

I also chose 2 different sets of accent towels

I reg. for a dozen of each

We already live together and have 2 of each size in Navy. So we registered for 2 more of each size, also in Navy. This way we'll have a complete set of 4 matching towels. I also have 3 bath towels that don't match leftover from college, but we mainly use those for the pool.

we registered for 3 different colored sets:
Each set is:

2 bath sheet
1 tubmat
2 hand
2 wash
2 bath

We also registered for a 'show' towel set.

I love towels so I went a little nuts. I got all of them at the shower.

I got all white supima cotton Ralph Lauren towels from Fortunoff. I like the spa feel.
