How many weeks did you put for a reply date on the invitations

Ladies...I need to know exactly how many weeks did you give your guest to reply back to you (with the response card) before the wedding.

Someone told me to do it for 1 month before the wedding. In the invitation book, they suggest to put it for 2 weeks.
Thanks

3 weeks. That's what the woman I ordered the invites with suggested.

I did the reply a month before - believe me, you won't have them all back by the reply date - so give yourself enough time to make calls, or to let the straggler replies to come in.

My reply date is May 14 and my wedding is June 19th. I sent them out on April 12. I have alot of overseas guests and I also wanted to leave time to call people who don't respond before I start the placecards and final count for the hall.

We did two RSVP dates, so we could send out more invitations to people that I really wanted to invite, but because of all the 'must invites' from my MIL I had to wait... Sort of a 'b list' but I dont really like to call it that. They would have been on the original list if my mother in law didnt insist on inviting her friends cousins.....
Ok to answer your question One was for a month before. The other about 2 weeks.

I did 6 weeks just in case you had to call people that didn't RSVP or if you didn't get enough people.

I gave mine 5 weeks. It was WAY too long. I think I would have given 3-4 weeks if I had to do it again.
