I am searching for my reception hall and I am open to just about anywhere still. What are you Ladies finding to be the average cose of a plate at the places that you checked out? Any suggestions?

There are reception sites started at $60 a plate all the way up to $400 plate. I would start with your budget, and go from there.

The places we looked at ranged from $75 to $110 a plate - but that doesn't include the service charge and tax which added another $25 a plate to our total.

same here - but it totally depends on day/night and time of year.

Start with a budget and how many people you want to invite. That will help determine what location can accomodate your guests and your price range.
I have a smaller wedding, which mean I can get married in August on a Saturday for $55 per plate(they had cheaper packages) but I have a smaller room.
It all depends how many guest, RH, etc...
Sometimes, some RH will charge you different prices for different day of the week, day or evening, what time of the year.....

Go back a few days and you will find a thread on what brides paid per plate, where they are getting married, and what day and time. If I knew how to post it for you I would- sorry!

I guess it depends on what you want. I found the average price of what I wanted was about 150.00pp plus tax and service charge. If you think about it thats nuts.
