how much?

So i am trying to figure out a budget and how much vendors are going to be. But i have no idea how much they go for. How much are:
photographers ?
flowers?
limos?

is there anything else??

Photogs can be mostly 5-10K depending on what you want I paid in the low 4s for mine.

Flowers no clue

Limos what do you want?

Photo/Video it depends on what you want. There are some basic packages that can be around 3k, with no albums and raw footage, there are packages that can be around 10k. We are paying under 5k after tax for photo and video with Duet.

Flowers... it depends. I have gotten quotes from 1200-1800 for 10 tables (half high) 4 BM bouquets, my bouquet, guys flowers, 3 corsages, toss bouqet and cake decorations. I have seen higher, I have seen lower.

High centerpieces generally start at 100, and can go to 400 each. Low I have seen anywhere from 45-150 depending on how complicated.

To save money, I would recommend looking at a local florist rather than a wedding florist, they do good work (I have heard) and as one told me 'I dont make my money on your wedding... I make it on the anniversaries, birthdays, and special occassions after it'


Limo, I have seen packages for weddings around 900, and otehrs around 1500-2000 depending on what type of cars and hours you are looking for.


DJ's I have seen anywhere from 650 for a one man show for Cocktail hour and reception to 5,000 for a full extravaganza. It all depends on what you are lookign for (not on your list, but something to be factored)

I'm just starting my research...so just have general prices.

Photographers can run you anyweher from $4k - $13K. A place like Sherwood-Triart is going to be on the high-end. Duet seems to be one of the better deals around -- with what appears to be excellent photographers. My friend is paying $5500 for her package. I met with Imagine and they are excellent...a bit higher than Duet...but not as pricey as someone like Sherwood. Shop around and find someone that meets your style. You can def find good deals out there.

I am just starting to look into flowers. I had been looking at these elaborate tall centerpieces that were running $250-$300 each...which is insane when you have 20+ tables. I met with Sugar Magnolia on Sunday and she talked me into low centerpieces...just waiting on a proposal for her. I hear Burtons, Flowers Michele and Pedastals can provide pretty good deals.

I think the more poular deejays are around $1300-$1500 for basic deejay/mc package...and then they can go up to crazy numbers if you start adding lights, plasmas etc. Again, you can probably find cheaper deals...but the companies like Body Rock and Long island Sound are in the 1300-1500 range.

I havent looked too much into limos...but those will likely be the cheapest vendors. I believe Sir Oliver is around $850 for a 20 passenger car ..and $450 for the rolls royce

If you are looking for a band...those can run anywhere from 5-25k. I've seen some rally good ones for under $7k.

Here's the way I had my original budget:

Photo/Video - $4,000
Flowers - $2,500
DJ - $4,000

I was close on my photo/video, did great on my flowers (which are High CP's), and way under on my DJ.

I cannot stress enough if you are looking for flowers, Flower Barn is definately worth looking into. I have had such an enjoyable experience dealing with Mike & Murray.

MY DJ is High Voltage. Vinny is a great guy. Responds to his emails quickly too.

I haven't done anything about limos though, sorry.

I second Flower Barn! Great prices and and professional, not too salesy, gave us a great price on high's even though we still went w/ the lows to save money. But the prices i would budget anywhere from 1500-3000 also depending on how many tables you have and what you want.

My photographer/videographer is just a little under 6k but we are getting 2 photographers, digital magazine album, parent albums, e pics, thank yous, all proofs, and other pics, and dvds of our wedding. SO this depends on what you want in your package, it varies..


My dj was great w/ price and paying around 2k for dj/mc, a montage and a steel drum player for CH. Again this varies by dj's and what extras you want, and if you want a band, budget even higher.

Limos i have not started looking at.

Photography: depends on the photographer and the package. I would set a budget for 2500-4000 depending on what you want.

Video: Again, depends on videographer. I would set a budget of 1500-2500

Flowers: Depends on high/low, type of flowers, number of CP, and if u want ceremony location decorated. I would say anywhere from 1500-3500

DJ: depends on if you want plasmas, lights, MC, etc. I would say anywhere from 1500- 2500

Limo: Depends on the season, time of day, type of car wanted, and number of people. I would say 1000-2000

Officiant: 300-600

You can see how confusing and stressful this can all be because these are just ballpark figures. It's really important to talk to the vendors yourself because every wedding is truly unique. Also, remember that just because hypothetically you get priced 2500 for photography and someone else is paying 4000 doesn't mean that you will have a lesser quality photographer.

would you like a videographer?? how about church or officiant? invites? or are you doing them yourself? some girls do their invitations i personally am not crafty at all but I will do my programs and place cards.

FLOWERS - I am spending $3,000 but I did get everything I dreamed of. Half high/half low centerpeices, all my church flowers, bo-k's...everything

PHOTOGRAPHER - Spent $3800...not doing video, again that included everything, even the upgraded bridal album and an extra parent album

LIMOS - I got a great deal. $1200 for a bentley and stretch limo for the bridal party.
