how much are u guys spending...(need opinions)

on invites if you don't mind my asking. I originally set a budget of $700 to include invitations, save the dates AND postage of both. BUT the quote I got for invitations is $789.60. they are pocketfold...but i nixxed the accomodation card

now I'm even thinking of asking how much it would save us to take out celebration card and just see if we could include 'reception to follow at Jericho Terrace, Mineola, NY' on the invite itself.

I'm afraid if I do that it will defeat the purpose of pocket folds...but...we will still have response card and JT provided maps in pocketfold. what do you guys think? should I just suck it up and leave the celebration card in? or should i try to cut costs bt taking it out and use that money towards STD's?

I think i'm spending about 3-400, and thats DIY. I love pocketfolds, so I plan on doing my invites myself to cut down the cost.

Realized I didnt answer your questions. I would leave the celebration card in there. That way you can give your guests the exact address and possibly the map.

I'm DIYing mine because I couldn't find the pocketfolds I wanted with the colors I wanted. And I spent about $500 with all the stuff, and thats excluding the belly bands lol

Personally I would spend more on the invitation then the STDs, but its defiantly up to you, and what you think works best!

i have yet to think about that, maybe i'll do diy alot of people throw them away, so maybe i can cut cost on those, but really i'm not sure yet.

I was first hoping for 500-600 until I actually ordered them.
DIY is too much work and I couldn't handle it.

In the end im at $900 for 110 invites this included all the inserts and addressing. to this I now need to add postage for rsvp and mailing

I think its a bit much but I loved the invites so I had to go for it.

I was on Ebay the other day, and found a few people that make custom pocketfold invitations for around $250-$300 for 100. Something to look into...

i think i spent 1400 i forgot.....

um...if you want to cutt costs just put the reception info ont he invite.....i dont see anythign wrong with it.........at all.......just make sure you put the name and address. and time.

i think that is a great price - especially for what you are getting!!

i spent an obscene amount and i can honestly say that yours look to be worth much more than mine for a great price!

$300 for pocket folds for about 80 couples w/ menus, place cards, signs, etc but i never realized i am getting a deal since i work for a print shop so i would say $400 -$500 isn't bad but honestly i wouldn't pay more for something everyone is going to throw away unless you have the money to do those types of things.

mine were just over 600 and that was with a discount; they were originally around 900 and PWP wanted over 1100 for them

i also changed the rsvp card from a layered card to just a plain flat single layer card
i didnt think it was worth the same price for the invites for the rsvp cards just to be multi layered
