I think it was only like $14 a plate, and they food was really good! We all started off with a cold antipasto and bruschetta served family style. Then everyone had a choice of house or ceasar salad and then a choice from 10 entree's. My FSIL bought the cake somewhere else. It also included wine, soda, cofee and tea. For all you Westchester girls, look into Mena's in Ardsley.

I guess it depends how fancy, my sister shower was at our condo meeting room. When all was said and done with decor and food, it was about $500 for 20-25 people.

Her first shower was about $5/person- at her MIL's house, I wouldn't even let my dog eat the food there- he was invited.

If you are looking to bring food into a room like we had hers, check out www.stopandshop.com. They have great platters for great prices.

Mine was held at a Charlie Brown Steakhouse in Westchester. The food is good and it was only $19pp including tax and grat. I also had my RD there and it costs the same. It did not include drinks, except coffee, tea and sodas were $1.50 but were refillable.
I went to a shower at the Beachtree Cafe & Bar last Sunday, for brunch. I think it was in Islip? The food was very good and it was about $18pp including soda, mimosas, coffee, etc...
